Highbridge & Burnham-on-Sea Town Council
In May 2022, Highbridge and Burnham-on-Sea Lib Dems became the biggest party on the town council, winning 9 out of 18 seats since 1999. In 2023, a devoted councilor resigned due to ill health, we lost the by-election with our community-driven candidate Laura Chalmers by 2 votes to a conservative who was not successful in keeping his seat during the 2022 election.

Councillor Lesley Millard has been leading the council as both Mayor and Chairman, by supporting the community and young people to have a voice, driven by her dedicated career in education.
