The AGM provides an essential opportunity for members to receive annual reports from the Executive Committee and to pose any questions. A key purpose of the meeting will be the election of Officers for the upcoming year, with terms commencing 1st January 2026.
We are also delighted to announce that Ed Lucas will be joining us as a guest speaker at the AGM. Ed will be known by many for his regular column in The Times and for his regular appearances on the BBC’s Today and Newsnight programmes. Formerly a senior editor at The Economist, he is now a senior advisor at the Center for European Policy Analysis, and was a Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate during the 2024 General Election. His extensive expertise includes energy, cyber-security, espionage, information warfare and Russian foreign and security policy, so his talk will be fascinating to anyone with an interest in politics.

You are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of Burgess Hill Branch, at Cyprus Hall, Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill RH15 8DX.
The evening will be a mix of social engagement, political debate, the formal election of the Burgess Hill Executive team, the presentation of executive reports, and the presentation of the branch’s accounts.
Free light refreshments will be available. The formal part of the evening will start at 7:30, allowing a 30-minute chance to catch up, meet each other, and grab some refreshments.

The Dover & Deal Lib Dem annual Quiz Night is taking place on Friday 28 November from 7.30 - 10pm.
Our Quiz Night last year was such good fun and it was a great social occasion to get to know other members and supporters.

Join us for the St Helier Action Day! This is an area where both Reform and the Tories are active.
In the recent by-election we came just six votes short of winning so St Helier West will be a key target but a hard-fought one.
We need all the support we can get, so please come along, even if you can only spare an hour. Every bit of help makes a difference!
Clearing the delivery backlog and canvassing will be the main priorities.
