By-Elections Announced for Fairfax East and Burnham Central Wards
Residents of Bridgwater's Fairfax East Ward and Burnham-on-Sea's Burnham Central Ward are being reminded to head to the polls for by-elections on Thursday, 6th February 2025. This is an opportunity for residents to cast their votes and shape the future of their local governance.
For those not yet registered to vote, there's still time to ensure your voice is heard. Applications to register must reach the Electoral Registration Officer no later than 12 midnight on Tuesday, 21st January 2025. Registration is quick and easy and can be completed online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

- Greg Broadhurst (Liberal Democrats)
- Paul Mills (Conservative Party)
In Fairfax East Ward, Bridgwater:
- Pelé Barnes (Liberal Democrats)
- Carole Edmunds (Conservative Party)
- David Solomon (Labour Party)
Key Information for Voters
Polling stations will be open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM on election day. Voters must bring photo ID. You can check acceptable forms of ID here or you may be able to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate for future elections.
